At the end of the school year, we had the chance to sit down with a few YCIS Shanghai Class of 2021 graduates to hear about their experiences at the school. Every student in the year has some great stories to tell, and it is always fascinating to hear about their journeys at YCIS Shanghai, whether they spent one year or 16 years at our school. This time, we hear from students Hayley (YCIS Pudong) and Steven (YCIS Puxi), both of whom will matriculate at universities in the United States. 

上个学年结束之际，我们与上海耀中2021届的几位毕业生进行了面对面交流，听他们分享各自在学校的故事。每一位毕业生都不平凡，无论在我校学习生活一年，还是十六年，他们的上海耀中之旅都同样精彩。今天，我们来听一听Hayley（上海耀中浦东校区）和Steven（上海耀中浦西校区）的故事，他们二位都被美国的知名大学所录取。

Hayley spent a whopping 13 years at YCIS! While rock climbing during one of the Secondary Education Outside of the Classroom (EOTC) trips, she had to step out of her comfort zone and embody the “risk-taker” learner profile. Hayley found this to be a defining experience in her personal growth and is excited for the new challenges she will encounter studying Computer Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. 

Hayley在耀中学习、生活了整整十三年！在一次校外课堂活动 (EOTC)旅途中，她跨出舒适圈，首次尝试攀岩，成为了一名敢于 “冒险”的学习者。Hayley认为，这次经历是她成长过程中的一个转折点。不久后，她即将在约翰霍普金斯大学学习计算机工程，对于将会遇到的挑战，她感到无比兴奋。

Over the river in Puxi, Steven joined YCIS Shanghai in Year 10 from a local school in Beijing and has spent the past four years studying IGCSE and IB and participating in various co-curricular activities. Steven experienced a lot of personal growth at YCIS Shanghai, and he was excited to talk about the leadership and character-building opportunities he had while at the school. He intends to bring those skills and confidence to Boston University, where he will be studying either Business or Economics in the autumn.

十年级时，Steven从北京一所学校转学至上海耀中（浦西校区）。在学校的四年里，他先后学习了IGCSE课程和IB课程，并积极参加了各类课外活动。上海耀中见证了Steven的一路成长，他也非常感谢学校对其领导力和性格塑造方面提供的帮助。今年秋天，他将在波士顿大学学习商科或经济学，他也会把耀中教会他的自信和所有技能带向大学。
