近期在康德双语小学部，同学们参加了一年一度的Get Caught Reading活动，并用照片记录下了自己对阅读的奇思妙想。究竟他们都选择了在哪里读书呢？

在康德双语小学部，阅读是语言学习中不可或缺的一环。对于正在学习语言的孩子们而言，阅读能加深他们对语法的理解，增加词汇储备，以进一步提高写作和口语能力。为了让同学们感受读书带来的乐趣，老师们会通过多种多样的主题活动创造生动的阅读氛围，增强学生对阅读的热爱。

“Get Caught Reading” 距今已有20余年的历史，旨在通过让人们发现自己身边正在阅读的身影，使更多人注意到阅读活动每时每刻都在发生。在活动中，同学们将阅读与创意相融合，在不同的场景中记录了自己对读书的热情。

小学部的全体同学们积极参与了拍摄过程，并认真构思了各种类型的读物适合在哪种情境下阅读。在滑雪场读《小熊帕丁顿绘本》、在练芭蕾时读《秘密花园》、边打篮球边看《漫画论语》、在地毯上看《生物图鉴》......这些作品都展示了同学们在课余生活中的无限创意和奇思妙想。

在活动过后，他们还和小伙伴们交流了自己的作品和设计想法。通过这样的分享机会，孩子们不仅对自己选择的书籍有了更全面的了解，也能和其他同学交流阅读心得，互相学习。

在康德双语小学部，我们希望让每一个孩子都爱上阅读。学校会根据孩子的年龄特点，设计不同的阅读活动，以积极鼓励学生的阅读兴趣。

我们相信通过阅读，学生们在潜移默化中能获得语言能力的提升，还能进一步拓展想象力和理解力。今后，我们仍将举办各种类型的阅读活动，让孩子们真切地感受到书籍带来的更多力量。

Reading is essential to our life. If you would like to read a book, where and when would you choose to read it?

In SCBS Primary School, our pupils participated in the annual Get Caught Reading event. They also recorded their interpretations to the books of their choices with many creative photographs!   

For our Primary School pupils, reading is an important part of their language learning journey. Reading helps them to understand grammar rules and build up their vocabulary, which will lead them to develop written and oral skills. In order to let more children enjoy reading, our teachers will come up with a variety of themed activities.  

Launched in 1999, Get Caught Reading is an activity to promote the fun of reading books for all ages. In the activity, the pupils could combine their creativity with reading.  

All of our pupils participated in the activity and brainstormed where they would like to be caught reading. Reading while snowboarding, practising ballet, playing basketball... All of these works presented our children’s innovative ideas.

After the activity, they also shared their thoughts with their peers. Through this opportunity, the children could not only receive a comprehensive understanding of the books of their choice, they also can learn from each other. 

At SCBS Primary School, we hope each student can enjoy reading. The school will oragnise a variety of reading activities to let our children experience the fun of reading. 

We believe that reading can further develop their abilities in language learning as well as imagination. SCBS will hold more reading activities in the future to let our children keep obtaining energy from books.
